Once you have invested your money in a nice golf shooting simulator, it will be important for you to maintain it on a regular basis so that it will last as long as possible. Plus, you want it to continue working properly and give you the same realistic playing experience that it always has. You will generally receive an owner’s manual with your simulator that will give you specific instructions as to how to keep your simulator well maintained. It is very important that you follow these instructions properly. Even though all simulators are similar in some ways, there will be different ways of maintaining the different models.
Just like with any sort of electronic device, dust can be a major factor. Keep this in mind when you are installing your machine, and remember to avoid installing it somewhere that it will be likely to collect a lot of dust. You should also be sure to always use clean clubs, and try to keep the dust of off of them as well. Of course, any dust lying on your clubs will most likely transfer onto your simulator. Take the time to dust your clubs with a damp cloth every few days or so. Sometimes even the cleanest looking clubs will have dust lying in the grooves. In the event that you are using your simulator for business purposes, you will want to kindly ask your customers to wipe off their clubs before they use your machine.
This same rue applies to the golf balls that are used with your shooting simulator. You shouldn’t use balls that have been used outdoors when you are playing on your simulator. If you use a dirty ball, you may end up damaging your screen or leaving marks on it.
Your manufacturer will have most likely have provided you with instructions regarding how to clean your projector. Your projector uses a bulb that can cost you quite a bit of money to replace. If you keep your projector’s lens clean you can make your bulb last significantly longer. In most cases, the bulb is not going to be included in your warranty. With that being said, you should do what you can to prevent yourself from having to spend several hundred dollars on a new bulb.
The sensor of your simulator is one of the most important things to take care of. Your shots can be greatly affected by even the smallest amount of dust getting on your sensor. If you regularly clean the sensors you can help to preserve the accuracy of your shots. You may have to do some special cleaning if you have one of the camera based simulators. Your machine won’t be as accurate when calculating your swing or the motion of the ball if it collects even a slight bit of dust.
It will be important for you to get into the routine of cleaning your machine thoroughly on a weekly basis. Once you have invested your money n a shooting simulator, you will want to make sure that you take proper care of it.
